Committees

Monitors award and recognition programs for members, including criteria for Honor Society.

Offers support and educational opportunities to all members with an interest in the brokerage and/or management of Commercial and Investment properties.

Responsible for the dissemination of accurate and timely information to members via flyers, bulletins and the Board newsletter.

Promotes and enhances the REALTOR® image through presence and visibility in our area city and community civic projects. Raises funds to help those in need.

Finance and Budget
Monitors the finances of the Board. Recommends annual budget to the Board of Directors.

Acts as the Board's lobbyists to State, County, and Municipal legislators and keeps the members informed of any proposed legislation affecting private property rights or the real estate profession.

Screening Committee for complaints. Acts as Grand Jury, establishes probable cause or determines an arbitral matter. FAR PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS TRAINING PROGRAM MANDATORY TO SERVE.

Plans annual Inaugural Ball, sells tickets and solicits sponsors.

Develops and promotes ideas for attracting new members while encouraging retention of current members.

Oversees and enforces the MLS Rules and Regulations to safeguard the integrity of the MLS database. Performs periodic and systematic review of MLS forms and policy.

Hears testimony and receives evidence in hearings (both Ethics and Arbitration). Determines if a violation exists or who was procuring cause. TO SERVE IN THIS COMMITTEE IT IS MANDATORY TO ATTEND THE FAR PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS TRAINING PROGRAM.

Program
Arranges general membership breakfasts, solicits sponsors, plans program and speakers.

Works toward creating and maintaining a feeling of unity and camaraderie among members by providing a forum for networking opportunities, planning social functions, specifically the Picnic/Softball Tournament and the Annual Party.

Systematically reviews all Board Standard Forms and makes recommendations for updating to comply with current market environment and laws.
